Membership

Welcome to the Million Dollar Book Club.  If you’re here, you’ve either been invited personally, or accepted by one of the members of the administration staff.  Please take a minute to read through this document so you understand what this exclusive club is about, and decide if you’re a good fit as VIP.  Admins will verify information and membership to assure that all members are doing their part because this won’t work without everyone working together.  With all that said, here are the facts about the club.

What Members Must Have:

·          Blog that you can post to

·          Facebook Author or Book Page

·          Twitter Account

·          Mailing List (Free accounts are available at tinyletter.com and mailchimp.com)

(If you don’t have all of these, please come back when you do)

Our goal at the Million Dollar Book Club is to get the most promotion for each and every author that joins.  Note that books can range from Young Adult to Erotic and by joining you agree to post ALL topics, not just ones you feel meet your criteria.  MDB *Million Dollar Book Club* believes that readers decides what they will buy and does not discriminate.  Please understand that before accepting membership.  Because some of the topics may be adult related, members must also be adults. 

There is no membership fee to join MDB, however there may be giveaways that we ask you to donate to help promote.  These will be voluntary and not always monetary.  EBooks or other author related material may be part of a giveaway. If you cannot afford to donate, we understand.  The idea behind MDB is to sell books, so hopefully with a team effort we can change that.  Please note that we can’t promise you will sell more books.

Membership Requirements:

1.     Each member agrees to post on their blog for a new book release.  The author (or PA) will make available a formatted html document that can be copied and pasted into your blog.  (If you don’t know how to do this, ask an Admin for help.)

2.     Each Member will like all member’s Facebook page (one page only, if you have multiple ones for separate books we do not require members to like those.)

3.     Each Member will follow all member’s twitter accounts.  Tweets may be generated and can be pre-posted for easy scheduling.  There is a free service for that:  https://feed140.net/home

4.     Each Member will join all member’s mailing lists.  As earlier stated, you can create a list for free at www.tinyletter.com or www.mailchimp.com  these are available until your subscription list reaches 2000 people.

Please read through this document carefully.  If you accept this membership, add your name to the comments with the word accept.  When that is done, create a file by clicking on the file tab at the top, then clicking create doc.  In your file, include your name *pen name on books*, blog address, twitter account, and facebook page.  Please do so in this format:

Below that include the book(s) you would like to promote, with links to where they can be purchased along with the genre.  Please do so in the following format.

Continue to list your other books underneath the first, if you have more than one.  Save your file under your name.  For example, mine would be listed as “Author Michelle Hughes”.  If you have book ads that you would like shared, place those in the comments under your author file only.  What we don’t want is a page flooded with book ads.  To get an idea of how to do this, check out the one under my name.

Admins will create promotion ideas and you can sign up for the ones that interest you.  All we ask is that if you join a promotion, you agree to promote all others that have signed up.  Basically it’s a pay it forward scenario.  We know this is a lot of information to take in at once, BUT if we all work together this can really help everyone to get the promotion everyone needs.
